Cunningham | Quill has done extensive community outreach in order to create architecture that serves not only the client but everyone effected by the project. Constituent involvement is central to our design process. From the onset, we encourage opportunities for interested individuals to be involved in the exploration of a design. Cunningham I Quill excels at leading planning processes which involve large and small groups to encourage education, communication and consensus building throughout the design process. Having worked with numerous municipal boards, commissions and task forces, the firm has used design to shape regional and local development land-use policy within both the public and private sectors.
Working with the client, public officials, and the community, our design process is interactive, inclusive, and visually oriented. We focus on creative problem solving and the solicitation of input from the various stakeholders. Through this process, a sense of community with the stakeholders evolves, assuring a greater understanding of the design and economic determinants of a project. Because both partners are natives of the Washington area, their goal of enriching the local built environment is both a personal and professional commitment.
