This 35 unit building is one of two new loft condominiums for Abdo Development. The project is in the final component of a site master plan also developed by CQA and seeks to fit into its steeply sloped site without overwhelming an adjacent residential neighborhood and hillside park. The Mercer will anchor the corner of Queen Street and 16th Street in the Rosslyn neighborhood of Arlington and is linked by a visually prominent pedestrian connection to the Wooster.
The brick, glass and precast building is designed to evoke images of traditional warehouse structures, while providing owners with modern amenities of abundant natural light, designer kitchens, and luxury baths. Typical units feature 10-foot high ceilings, with 17-foot high mezzanine lofts. Penthouse units with views to the National Mall contain 21-foot tall living spaces and private roof terraces.
