Located in historic Cleveland Park, this home was constructed in the early 1900’s. Throughout the addition of a family room and upgraded master suite, maintaining the look and integrity of the original house remained a central focus of design.
The front elevation was preserved, while the addition of two integrated screen porches to the rear of the house greatly improves circulation between the inside and outside. The completed floor plan adds 600 square feet with substantial renovations to the existing interior. New screened porches on the first and second floors add 500 square feet of outdoor leisure space overlooking the extensive back yard. Direct access from family living spaces to the first level screen porch creates an airy space for communal leisure. On the second level, the master bedroom and master bath open directly onto another screen porch, evoking a private retreat in the trees.
