Nestled within the back of Dairy Market is a four-story Class A office building. The addition is wrapped in copper, zinc, and brick to complement the existing industrial details as well as the materials of the historic Dairy building. The office building lobby features a new blackened steel monumental stair detailed in white oak and granite. This allows easy access from the light-filled lobby to the Dairy Market food hall. Spare polished concrete floors and exposed concrete walls paired with white oak paneling and tear dropped light fixtures complement the market’s historic features. Discovered during the demolition phase, historic bricks stamped “Old Virginia” were reused and are now featured at the top of the monumental stairs.
