This plan developed a tactical design approach to bring guidance for the transformation of a retail focused suburban node in the City of Fairfax into a long-term mixed use, walkable series of neighborhoods.

Key design approaches included block by block recommendations focused on key ideas of walkable main streets, transportation nodes, retail, and open space hubs. The ultimate vision imagines three character areas with existing and new resources providing a fundamental sense of character in an area currently dominated by placeless suburban forms.
